Kemp Klein Sponsors Common Ground’s 2026 Celebration of Hope Gala

Kemp Klein is proud to sponsor Common Ground’s 2026 Celebration of Hope Gala on Friday, October 16, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Detroit Marriott Troy. The annual gala brings together Michigan’s business, civic and philanthropic leaders to support Common Ground’s lifesaving mental health and crisis intervention services.

This year’s Celebration of Hope Gala recognizes 55 years of service and impact while helping secure the future of mental health crisis care in Michigan. Guests will gather for an evening featuring dinner, curated entertainment, a silent auction and the presentation of distinguished legacy awards honoring individuals and organizations committed to meaningful change.

For more than five decades, Common Ground has helped individuals and families move from crisis to hope. Its trained crisis specialists meet people with compassion and without judgment, providing a safe place to be heard while helping them identify appropriate services and next steps. In 2025 alone, Common Ground supported more than 200,000 people through its programs and resources.

Common Ground operates Michigan’s 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, providing free and confidential crisis support 24 hours a day by phone, text and online chat. The service is available to people experiencing immediate emotional distress, mental health or substance-use crises, as well as those concerned about a loved one. Crisis specialists are trained in trauma-informed care, active listening, cultural competency and compassionate communication.

The organization’s work extends well beyond the 988 Lifeline. Common Ground connects Michigan residents with mobile crisis intervention teams, behavioral health urgent care, victim assistance, peer support, support groups for those affected by suicide or homicide loss, and other community-based services. Its resiliency centers also provide long-term support to communities affected by tragedy, creating spaces where individuals and families can receive assistance, rebuild a sense of safety and move forward together.

Kemp Klein is honored to serve as a Resiliency Partner of Common Ground. For more than two decades, the firm has supported the organization through pro bono legal services, charitable contributions and community initiatives. In 2025, Kemp Klein received Common Ground’s Kay White Legacy Award in recognition of this longstanding partnership and its commitment to helping people move from crisis to hope.
